The University of Southern Mississippi now offers the oppertunity to walk through their yearlong exhibit that celebrates one hundred years of Souther Miss. It is conveniently located on the first floor of the Cook Library; the door to the exhibit is the first door on the right after walking through the sliding doors to the library. The exhibit has all sorts of fun facts and interesting things to look at. The exhibit is open to the public to see, and it is free for all.
A majority of the items were donated by former students who were involved on campus. The uniforms that were donated add a nice touch to the exhibit. It is entertaining to see what the cheerleaders, band members, and Dixie Darlings once wore. The exhibit also contains random items such as the tomato canning pot once used at the dinning hall. Buttons, scrap books, and old issues of The Student Printz are available to look at as well.
